Do WellOne healthcare providers see patients in the hospital?

No. We have arrangements in place with several “hospitalist” providers to care for our patients while in the hospital. Hospitalists are chosen because they focus only on inpatient medicine, so you have a dedicated team of hospital-based physicians during your hospital stay. Because hospitalists spend their days at the hospital rather than in our office, they are available when you need them in the hospital and have developed expertise in providing care in the highly technical hospital setting. Since your primary care provider knows you best, the hospitalist will communicate with your healthcare provider throughout your hospital stay.
